The Church of St Mary and St Peter in Barham Church Lane (map) is the Parish Church for Claydon & Barham.
Everyone is welcome to all our services which are held every Sunday at 10am and every Wednesday at 10am. Every Friday morning there is a free, totally informal, non-religious Drop-in session in the adjoining Church Hall that is open to anyone seeking company and a chat over a free cuppa. Children are welcome at all our services and there is an area at the back where there are toys and books for them if they need to escape from the confines of the pews and an adjoining room, to which the service is relayed, should you need to settle a child or baby during the service. Once a month, usually on the 2nd Sunday, we hold Families@4:30 which includes crafts and food which is aimed at families with children.
The Church is open every day of the year from 10am to 4pm for visitors to view our world famous Madonna and Child sculpture by Henry Moore and other aspects of the beautiful 800 year-old building. A branch of the free community library is housed at the back of the Church
If you know of anyone who would appreciate a lift to Church, a home visit or would like communion at home, please let one of the Churchwardens (Jonathan Dedman 01473 830890 or Robert Clark 07894 439252) know so that they can arrange it.
Information on the Church and all services and events can be found at The Parish Church of Claydon & Barham,
